Yesterday evening we had dinner with a lot of food and drink and we all came to bed very late, so today we are tired. Together with our friends from the Czech Republic we also went out late in the night and made a soundwalk into the forest and the marshland of Rynningeviken to listen and record the birds. A lot of fun, but probably not the best preparation for a soundwalk in the city center the day after!
So, today Seth-Reino and I went to Södra kyrkogården and found the tomb of the composer Valborg Aulin. We made a recording at her tomb and then we continued are walk to the small fountain at Näbbtorget, it is strange but we have never observed this fountain before! Then we crossed the street and came to the castle and made a recording with some workers who were digging in light sand.

The sound of the ferry Beffen, Bergen Elektriske Færgeselskap, inspired the British composer Pete Stollery to create sounds in the Three Cities Project. The ferry cross the harbour from Bradbenken/Bryggen to Munkebryggen/Nykirken in Bergen, Norway, and is possessed wíth an 22,5 hk engine. It have served for more than 100 years across Vågen. Today it serves tourists 50 times every day all year round.

The first day of spring and good conditions for the first sound walk with Origo Project. This is the time of the year when the beginning of primordial sounds arises from nature and of people as well! New noises rise up around me when I start at Naturens hus
and follow the river Svartån
and continue my walk with a few stops before I end up at Örebro centralstation.
The temptation to have a beer after my walk is immediate but I have to wait...

The director of the Bio Roxy cinema Mr. Kjell Andersson showed us the cinema today. Bio Roxy, Salon 2, is downstairs in the large auditorium. It holds 30 seats and is perfect for a small group. Fully equipped with projector (full HD, 1080p), media player, Bluray, Internet connection (100 Mbps), etc. We introduced Mr. Andersson to the project and he was very positive to be the host for next years concert.

Today me and Seth-Reino visited Örebro Stadsarkiv to look at silent films from Örebro (1928). No recorded sounds, no spoken dialogues and not a single bit of advanced technology in sight. The films can be useful for the concert in June.

It is also possible to visit Google Earth and see the maps and the places where we recorded the sounds for the three cities. There is a link to each map: http://goo.gl/maps/jNRKo
